VERN's 4th Revue is full of creativity and young talent, and visitors can expect a rich film program.

In front of a full house at the Tuškanac Cinema, VERN' University opened its 6th Student Film Festival. The premiere was attended by famous actors Milan Pavlović , Goran Grgić , Klara Fiolić , Ana Vilenica , Robert Španić , Vini Juričić and others who also starred in the films shown.

VERN's 4th Revue is full of creativity and young talent, and after today's opening, a rich film program awaits visitors tomorrow as well.

The festival was opened by the film "Shadows of Crime", directed by Goran Lovrenšćak and produced by Monika Mišić , and VERN's students have made 27 films in the past year that will be screened at this year's event. Although most of the films are feature films, students have also made documentaries and animated films.

A new feature at this year's Film Festival is the "Audience Award", which means that visitors will vote for their three favorites via QR code, and the film with the most votes will be crowned the winner of this year's Festival.

One of the authors, young producer and director Dina Uglešić , commented: "It is always a special experience to show your films to an audience for the first time. That is why events like VER's Film Festival are of utmost importance for students, as they have the opportunity to show their work, not only to family and friends, but also to the professionals they will soon join in their work."

Dina reveals that working on student films is both fun and stressful. "In my case, it was extremely important to make long and detailed preparations so that everything worked on set. I would like to thank all my friends and colleagues who helped me with this."

Head of Art Studies at VERN University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Ozana Ramljak points out that they are extremely satisfied with this year's production and the diversity of genres. "We always encourage students to be free, creative, to ask questions, to question themselves and everything around them. Even if some films were declared controversial, as was the case with Kevin Maineti's film 'Around the Universe'. After all, my professors taught me that boundaries are there only to be crossed."

Some of the films in the repertoire have already had their premieres, including the film "Around the Universe", directed by Kevin Maineti , which aroused great public interest after its premiere at the Days of Croatian Film.
