H.E. Dr. Tanya Dimitrova, distinguished ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Croatia, was a guest at VERN' and gave a guest lecture for students and lecturers.
H.E. Dr. sc. Tanya Dimitrova , distinguished ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Croatia, as part of the promotion of her recently published book "365 day(s). Diary for achieving personal goals.", visited VERN' Polytechnic and held a motivational lecture for our students and lecturers from the Journalism and Public Relations studies, on the topic "How to discover your mission".
The guests were welcomed by VERN's Vice-Dean for Studies, M. Sc. Višnja Grozdanić , and Vali Marszalek greeted those gathered on behalf of the Croatian Employers' Association, as part of the "Private Sector Initiative for Youth".
The Ambassador began her presentation on motivation and success in life, with an emphasis on her business career, with a presentation about her country, which is the core of her diplomatic work. During her interactive presentation, she repeatedly emphasized that in achieving business and life plans, it is necessary to focus on small segments of the "big plan" and achieve them one by one. That is why a large part of the lecture was devoted to the choices, goals and decisions we make every day.
The Ambassador presented an interesting thesis that "every person is the average of the five other people they socialize with" , and together with the audience, she conducted a fitting experiment that showed that a student's parent earns on average as much as the five other people that parent spends the most time with.
By the way, HE Ambassador Dimitrova has already promoted her book in other Croatian cities, such as Split, Rijeka and Osijek. She has been in the ambassadorial position in Croatia since 2012, and it is interesting to note that she began her career in journalism.
