This year's Fest will take place from September 1st to 3rd, and our student's film will be screened in competition with 32 other selected films.
The documentary film by our student Dina Uglešić from the graduate study of Film and Television Directing and Production has been selected for the official international selection of the 9th Star Film Fest, which will be held in Sisak from September 1st to 3rd.
Dina was selected into the official competition along with 32 other best films, which were selected by an expert jury from a total of 3,465 submitted films from all over the world – making this selection even more significant.
"I would like to highlight the entire team that worked on the film and thank them in turn: the main protagonists Valentina Roth, Tomislav Cvitković and Nenad Manojlović; then cinematographer Marin Lencović; editor Sara Brkić; Andrej Žuškin who was in charge of sound design; editing assistant Dominik Račko; Eugenija Prša and Toni Opačić who provided additional shots; poster designer Hana Matić and mentors and professors Neven Hitrec, Slaven Zečević and Ivan Maloča" , emphasized Dina.
The film "Front" follows three seemingly different men - Toma, Valentina and Nenad - three friends, united by a long-standing friendship, but also twenty-year membership in an unusual secret front.
What is freedom and how do we actually perceive it? This is the main question addressed by this documentary, and the answer to this question becomes very intriguing in the context of a front that bears the label – secret.
