Through its support system, the Group has also developed the first consortium of social entrepreneurs and companies in Croatia, and the public is aware of the support project "Start something of your own".
Ana Brigović , head of business development at ACT Group, gave a guest lecture for the students in the Basics of Entrepreneurship course at VERN's undergraduate study of Entrepreneurship Economics.
The guest presented to our students the activities of this non-profit organization based in Čakovec, which has been encouraging and promoting social entrepreneurship since 2003, and works to empower individuals and organizations in creating positive social change through mentoring, education, and financial support.
Interestingly, through their support system for social entrepreneurs, ACT Group established the first consortium of social entrepreneurs and businesses in Croatia, and over these more than eight years of operation, they have supported the development of more than 75 projects. Some of them are:
- ARYA Intimates – an initiative launched with the aim of providing support to women who have undergone a mastectomy.
- Green Energy Pal – an entrepreneurial team has developed a comprehensive system for measuring and controlling electricity consumption, aimed at increasing energy efficiency in small and medium-sized enterprise facilities.
- Samonikla – a sustainable flower shop focused on ecological, sustainable and local business, where most of the plant and floral material comes directly from nature.
- Plodovi.hr – a short supply chain concept that allows entrepreneurs to identify the problems and needs of each member of this sustainable supply system and develop better solutions and technologies.
In addition to the projects presented, the guest also presented to our students and professor Dr. Iva Senegović a project called "Start Something of Your Own", which provides development and mentoring support for entrepreneurial projects, and invited students to apply for this year's competition.
