The recognition was awarded based on editorial ratings and research among bankers and analysts.
The Banker, a monthly magazine of the prestigious Financial Times, has named the Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Dr. Boris Vujčić , a member of the VERN' Council and lecturer in our elective courses, the best European governor in 2018 and the best global central banker.
The recognition was awarded to our colleague based on his advocacy for structural reforms, especially educational reforms, thoughtful immigration policy, initiatives aimed at Croatia's entry into the eurozone, chairmanship of the steering committee of the Vienna Initiative, and the role of the CNB in preserving Croatia's financial and banking stability.
Dr. Boris Vujčić is a member of the Council of the VERN' Polytechnic, and since 2010 he has been engaged as a lecturer in the elective course Economics of European Integration at VERN's studies.
