You can apply for the summer school with a summary of up to 300 characters, and prepare a 15-minute presentation for September.

Professors, students, alumni and colleagues,
We would like to remind you that abstract submissions for presentations at the international summer school "Connecting Southeast Asia and Southeast Europe" are currently underway.
The topics you can cover in presentations range from global risks and threats, war conflicts, escalation of international tensions, decline of trust in democracy, up to the rise of skepticism, the growth of authoritarian regimes and other topics common to these regions.
The aim of the presentation is to highlight the interconnections between the regions of Southeast Asia and Southeast Europe from various perspectives. While the primary focus is on political and social sciences, law, economics, international relations, security and diplomacy, this Summer School encourages the presentation of interdisciplinary approaches that explore the broader scientific, cultural and historical connections between Southeast Asia and Southeast Europe .
Since the goal is to encourage mutual understanding, inspire the emergence of new approaches, and strengthen academic and scientific cooperation, academic and business experts, as well as students, can present their thoughts.
The summer school is jointly organized by Indonesian universities, Lampung University and Warmadewa University, as well as the Zagreb Faculty of Political Science and VERN' University, and will be held on September 12, 2025 at the Faculty of Political Science, after VERN' hosted it two years ago .
Abstracts for presentation submissions must contain approximately 300 characters (with spaces), and are received by the organizer Robert Mikac at the email address robert.mikac@fpzg.hr . Submissions for abstracts are open until May 15, 2025 .
It is useful to know that delivering a 15-minute presentation at this summer school is evaluated in the election for titles under the category "Special conditions: criteria for scientific and professional contribution", and all participants will receive certificates of participation upon completion.
