International student vibe at VERN: positive experiences of Erasmus students from Germany and Poland

Many foreign students who studied the Erasmus exchange semester at VERN this academic year emphasized that they were delighted with VERN's student vibe, the academic atmosphere in Zagreb, as well as the activities and trips within student organizations.

Lea Kamm and Leonie Scharf from Germany and Bartosz Taradaj from Poland shared their positive impressions with us.

"The International Relations Office of VERN' University was extremely helpful in finding accommodation in Zagreb, regulating our stay in Croatia, and directing us to courses and professors. The lectures were not only interesting, but we also learned a lot of new knowledge, which is why VERN' was a truly excellent academic destination. On the other hand, Zagreb is a great place to meet many people of different cultural backgrounds, as well as travel around Europe and the Adriatic coast. Studying in Croatia has made me many new acquaintances that have grown into real friendships, both with students from Croatia and other Erasmus students, through the activities that ESN organized for us," Lea emphasized.

Bartosz, on the other hand, was delighted by the student vibe at VERN'. "VERN' University is quite small, but a very interesting and stimulating academic environment. I was really impressed by the fact that I received very detailed answers to all my questions and that every professor cared about the students. I learned a lot of new and useful things and genuinely enjoyed the faculty - in lectures, in the library or in the student cafe. To sum up, without those amazing people at VERN' and my Erasmus colleagues, my experience would not have been so great because I met great people and made real academic and maybe future business friends. After this trip, I am definitely ready for changes in my life."
