At the beginning of this year's summer school "Innovation Academy" organized by the Croatian Office for Creativity and Innovation (HUKI), our professor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Petar Kolar , Head of the Internet of Things undergraduate study program, welcomed high school students to VERN'.

He gave a welcoming lecture, introducing them to the ways in which machine learning works and its implications for the development of artificial intelligence ( AI ). Given that technology and the use of technological achievements are an indispensable part of everyday life, Professor Kolar showed the students how artificial intelligence acquires new knowledge, but also how they, as users of online content, contribute to its development.
In addition, our professor also held a lecture on the IT Genius module where he introduced the participants of this module, high school students with IT ambitions, in more detail to functions in Python, with special emphasis on iterative and recursive functions in the context of the Fibonacci sequence and factorials.
