VERN's students participated in the futurology conference Future Tense, which took place on October 2nd at Zagreb's Lauba - a house for people and art. Accompanied by lecturer Nataša Jeličić , deputy head of VERN's undergraduate Journalism study program , our journalism and public relations students listened to lectures by some of the most respected futurologists of today, such as Gerd Leonhard , Aric Dromi , David Birch and Morgaine Gaye .

Leonhard and Dromi discussed the future of media and smart cities, as well as the future of media platforms and the implementation of artificial intelligence in everyday life. Birch looked at the future of finance and cryptocurrencies, while Morgaine Gaye, a lecturer at universities in the UK and Sweden, based her lecture on the development of the food industry and the future of food in general.

In addition to lectures by renowned futurologists, Future Tense also hosted the CEOs of some of the largest domestic and regional companies, who exchanged impressions on future trends at the CEO Future Panel.
