
Before the start of the new academic year, the traditional "Undergraduate Studies Orientation Day" was held at VERN University, where freshmen from all 10 undergraduate studies gathered: Entrepreneurship Economics, Business Informatics, Tourism, Journalism, Technical Management, Public Relations, Film, TV and Multimedia Design, Cyber Communication, Internet of Things and Transmedia Dramaturgy.
At separate lectures for each university department – Economics and Business, Computing and Technology, Communications and Media, and Creative Industries – the freshmen were greeted by academic leaders and the Rector, Prof. Dr. Sc. Vedran Mornar , and then by the heads of their studies, who welcomed them to the academic environment and introduced them to the curriculum, methods of taking exams, and fulfilling other academic obligations.

Head of the Sports Department , Marijo Strahonja, introduced the freshmen to numerous opportunities for competitive and recreational sports through the VERN' Sport program, while Nataša Jeličić , head of the VERN' Culture program, explained how to use the advantages of this student program for personal growth and cultural development.

Older colleagues, senior students, showed the freshmen how to use student portals (Studomatic) and introduced them to the activities of the student association, demonstration opportunities, fun extracurricular activities, etc.
