VERN' University marks the completion of the CES project to encourage the integration of vulnerable groups in the labor market

At the ceremony, certificates were awarded to 43 counselors for working with vulnerable groups from the Zagreb and northwestern Croatia areas, as well as 10 certificates for future trainers.

The certificates were presented by Luka Čirko, Director of the Directorate for the Labor Market and Employment of the Ministry of Labor, and Prof. Dr. Vlatko Cvrtila, Rector of VERN.

The ceremonial awarding of certificates to employment counselors of the Croatian Employment Service (CES) marked the completion of the project " Strengthening the system of inclusion and monitoring of vulnerable groups in the labor market through the improvement of CES business processes" , which was led by the Croatian Employment Service (CES), and jointly implemented by VERN' University, the company Core Integra doo and the Association of Croatian War Veterans Treated for PTSD of the City of Zagreb.

On this occasion, certificates were awarded to 43 counselors for work with vulnerable groups from the City of Zagreb and the northwestern part of Croatia, as well as 10 certificates for trainers in this program, which were presented to them by Luka Čirko, Director of the Directorate for the Labor Market and Employment of the Ministry of Labor of the Republic of Croatia, and Prof. Dr. Sc. Vlatko Cvrtila, Rector of VERN' University.

The project consisted of three phases: (1) creation of an analysis of the position of a consultant for work with vulnerable groups, a framework of key competencies required for work with vulnerable groups and a schedule of activities; (2) creation of specialized manuals and training of counselors for a total of 100 persons/participants, which consisted of 3 modules lasting 36 school hours; and (3) a special 9-day training for 10 selected participants, CES advisors, who are trained as future trainers of this educational program.

In the second phase of the project, training of future counselors was conducted in Rijeka, Split, Osijek and Zagreb, in groups of 10 to 14 participants from various regional offices of the Croatian Employment Service.

Before Zagreb, certificate award ceremonies were held for a total of 11 CES advisors/employees in Rijeka (March 27), 22 CES advisors/employees in Split (May 10) and 24 CES advisors/employees in Osijek (May 12).

The project "Strengthening the system of inclusion and monitoring of vulnerable groups in the labor market through the improvement of CES business processes" stems from the Component "Improvement of employment measures and the legal framework for the modern labor market" of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and prescribes the development of a system of individualized support in order to increase the number of included members of vulnerable groups in the labor market. The project is financed by the European Union - Next Generation EU" .
