Our lecturers' book "Psychology in Tourism" presented at VERN

It was presented by the authors themselves, who are also lecturers at VERN's studies: Prof. Dr. Sc. Dubravka Miljković, Prof. Dr. Sc. Majda Rijavec and Dr. Sc. Irena Miljković Krečar.

Why do people (not) travel? Can certain types of people connect with the destinations they choose for their travels? What determines relationships between people in tourism? What are the specifics of employment and work in tourism?

Students, as well as all tourism workers and travel enthusiasts, will be able to find the answers to these questions in the book "Psychology in Tourism" , which was presented at VERN this Wednesday. It is the first and only book in the Croatian language that discusses the latest findings in the field of tourism and the application of psychological principles and methods in tourism.

It was presented by the authors themselves, who are also lecturers at VERN's studies , Prof. Dr. Sc. Dubravka Miljković , Prof. Dr. Sc. Majda Rijavec and Dr. Sc. Irena Miljković Krečar , and the presentation was also attended by reviewers Prof. Dr. Sc. Ljiljana Kaliterna Lipovčan and Dr. Sc. Snježana Boranić Živoder .

The publication of the book was also welcomed by Branko Štefanović , President of the VERN' Board of Directors, who pointed out that trends in tourism also need to be analyzed from a psychological perspective, since tourism is an important set of economic activities and one of the drivers of economic development.

The authors and reviewers pointed out that consumer understanding is key to success in tourism and the creation of a competitive tourist product, as well as the sustainable growth and development of all tourism segments, as well as the tourist destinations themselves.
