What is correct? “With a sister or with a sister”, “with a dog or with a dog”, “two, two, two”…

As part of the cooperation with the education sector, VERN' hosted graduates of the First School of Economics in Zagreb, for whom our lecturer, Head of the Department of Languages and Culture, Professor Vicko Krampus, gave an interesting lecture on "the most common language errors".
What is correct? "With a sister or with a sister", "with a dog or with a dog", "two, two, two" and the like. The Croatian language abounds in numerous combinations that we often do not even notice in speech and consider to be correct, but the rules in the language are very clear, as pointed out by Professor Krampus, who also teaches the courses Business Croatian Language, Media Language and Basics of Language Culture.

Although the graduates demonstrated an enviable level of knowledge when distinguishing correct from incorrect language constructions, knowledge of the Croatian language should develop in parallel with the development of the language itself, i.e. constantly. Therefore, our professor recommended to the students which literature to use when they encounter linguistic dilemmas and shared with them several useful tips on how to develop knowledge of the language and stylistics.
