The deadline for submission of papers for all interested authors is Friday, June 14, 2024.
The peer-reviewed online open access scientific journal for social sciences and humanities "Contemporary Topics", published by VERN' University, has opened the submission period for the next issue - Vol. XV, 2024.
We invite all interested lecturers and alumni of VERN' University, as well as external collaborators who are involved in writing scientific and professional papers, to submit their papers for the new issue of the journal.
The deadline for submission of papers is Friday, June 14, 2024.
The magazine is published once a year in the form of a freely available digital publication, and the editors take the following criteria into account when selecting submitted works:
- previously unpublished work,
- author's work,
- written in Croatian or English.
Papers must be sent to the e-mail of the journal's editors at st@vern.hr , and the instructions for submitting papers are available on the journal's website .
Contemporary Topics is a peer-reviewed scientific journal for the social sciences and humanities published by VERN' University of Zagreb. The journal publishes original papers on contemporary research issues and topics, with an emphasis on the plurality of methods and approaches and the appreciation of multidisciplinarity. Articles and book reviews cover topics in the fields of political science, sociology, contemporary history and other related disciplines, related to Southeast Europe.
The journal is published annually as a freely available digital publication. The editorial board considers only previously unpublished, original works, written in Croatian or English. The editorial board also accepts reviews of new and significant scientific books, as well as communications on current research in the social sciences and humanities.
The journal is open to both established scientists and young researchers. We particularly encourage the publication of scientific and professional papers created in collaboration between lecturers and students.
In line with the diverse fields in which VERN's studies are conducted, the journal particularly highlights scientific and research contributions in the fields of creative industries, media, communications, informatics, management, entrepreneurship and tourism.
Contemporary topics are indexed in the following citation databases: Proquest – Social Science Premium Collection, Political Collection, PAIS; CEEOL; BASE.
