First-hand experiences

Foreign Erasmus students from VERN learned about the rich history and activities of the Croatian National Theatre

They also saw how rehearsals and performances of three ensembles - drama, ballet and opera - are organized and learned more about theater protocol.

A group of foreign students studying at VERN' University in the summer semester recently visited the Croatian National Theatre to learn about the work of this umbrella theatre institution as part of the Event Management and Marketing course, taught by Krešimir Daba .

Touring every corner of the National Theatre, the students saw what a theatre production looks like, how rehearsals and performances of the three ensembles – drama, ballet and opera – are organised. They also took a peek at a rehearsal of Swan Lake, got to know the technical aspects of the stage, stage effects, and sat in the theatre's VIP lounge and royal box, learning about theatre protocol.
