The cycle lasted from April 2 to 8, and the students were divided into four groups, for which separate courses and fieldwork programs were created.

Third-year students of VERN's undergraduate studies in Entrepreneurship Economics , Public Relations and Media Studies, and Journalism attended the April cycle of "elective island courses", which was held at VERN's center on the island of Vis, VERN' Island School, and in collaboration with local entrepreneurs.
The cycle lasted from April 2 to 8, and the students were divided into four groups, for which separate courses and fieldwork programs were created.

Thus, the first group of Entrepreneurship Economics students ( EP1 ) listened to lectures from the Art of Business Negotiation ( Saša Petar ) and Human Resources Management ( Ivana Vrhovski ) courses. Two guest lectures on the topic of employment on the island were organized for them ( Ivana Galonja , director of Hotel Issa and Antonija Uskok , deputy mayor), and they deepened their theoretical knowledge through simulations of negotiations on the topic of "job interview", "asking for a raise" and "termination of employment". The informal part of the program was reserved for the popular "Military tour", a military route along the Vis.
Another group of students from that study ( EP2 ) attended the courses Sales Management ( Dijana Vuković ) and Consumer Behavior ( Boris Jurič ), and as part of fieldwork they visited the Lipanović winery and the Rafanelli lemon nursery . On that occasion, they discussed consumer behavior and sales management, i.e. distribution, as well as ecological production and pricing from an island perspective, with local entrepreneurs. The informal part of the program was reserved for sailing.

The group from the Public Relations ( OSJ ) study program attended the courses Political Public Relations ( Nikolina Borčić ) and Public Relations in Tourism and Sports ( Stana Odak Krasić ), and guest lectures on the topics of political elections and tourism were given by Ivo Radica , Mayor of Vis, and Director of the Tourist Board Ivo Fiamengo . As part of the project teaching, the students campaigned for local elections and, together with the Journalism students, prepared a political television show "Closed", in which all the candidates for mayor were introduced. In the informal part of the program, the PR students also got to know the island through a military route.
A group of students from Journalism ( NOV ) took the Academic Writing course ( Svea Kršul ), and as part of the course they also learned about historical battles, visited military sites on Vis, including a submarine tunnel and a military airfield from World War II, visited Komiža and the Hum viewpoint, and the Vis Town Museum. As part of their practical work, in addition to the TV show, they also wrote a narrative essay, and the informal part of the program was reserved for them to ride bicycles around the island.
