Internet of Things students developed IoT integration projects in the museum offer

What do museums have to do with the Internet of Things and Design Thinking?

Three student teams on the course Management for start-up companies 2 at the undergraduate study Internet of Things asked themselves the same question when they were given a problem assignment at the Design Thinking workshop:

"Museums do not use or underuse IoT solutions to provide a dynamic, educational and interactive experience to visitors". Hmmm.

They were faced with a dilemma: (1) choose a thematic museum in which to integrate the Internet of Things or (2) choose to work on the theme of the Internet of Things museum itself as an experiential museum of the future.

From the development of the idea, through the work on the creative concept and the integration of the Internet of Things technology, to the final proposal, quite a few academic minutes have passed, and the final solutions for gaining a dynamic, educational and interactive experience for visitors are guaranteed by conceptual solutions:

  1. Alcohol Museum
  2. Museum of the History of European Football
  3. A car museum to provide an authentic experience of driving legendary cars

*Interestingly, the students expanded this last project through additional integration of technology, and it grew into the concept of the "Vehicle Experience Center" which provides an authentic experience of driving other well-known and lesser-known means of transportation such as the Titanic, space shuttle, submarine, etc.

Through the photo gallery you can get an impression of what the journey from ideas to realization looked like.
