Student teams will analyze the market, develop a complex application process, and analyze the use of mobile applications in the field of e-government.

In early November, VERN's IT Management graduate students were presented with the project portfolio of APIS IT, a company of special interest to the Republic of Croatia in the field of public e-government.
As part of a guest lecture at the "Project Management" course, 2nd year students were introduced to the project assignment they will be working on throughout the semester, and more information about the company itself and the assignment was presented to them by Juliana Štrbić from the Department of Communications and Marketing and Katarina Rebernak from APIS's Project Management Department.
Student teams will be tasked with analyzing the availability, recognition and use of services in the field of e-public sector, developing a process for a complex e-service (application) in the public sector, and analyzing the use of mobile applications in the field of e-government.
At the end of the semester, they will present their solutions, along with appropriately developed project plans that can make it easier to face these challenges, both for the partner company and other organizations in the IT sector.
It should be noted that APIS is an IT company that has been providing strategic, professional and implementation services to the Croatian public sector for decades in planning, developing, supporting and maintaining business information systems based on the principles of networked and user-centered administration. It is therefore logical that they chose students from this field for innovative proposals and new solutions.
This collaboration was achieved within the framework of VERN's unique dual higher education model "companies-partners", which is an integral part of VERN's #EducationmeetsBusiness cooperation project with the economy, which combines theoretical knowledge and practical work on real business cases of some of the most successful companies and organizations operating in Croatia. The results of student projects often lead to the development of thesis topics, which is an added value of this approach to the education of future IT management masters.
