"Zagreb Connect" as a great startup one-stop shop for VERN's PR and tourism students

VERN's second-year undergraduate students in Public Relations and Tourism visited one of the most important startup events, "Zagreb Connect", at the end of last year, and brought with them a wealth of new knowledge and acquaintances in the field of entrepreneurship and the dynamic startup ecosystem.

As part of the course Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship in Tourism , taught by our professor , Dr. Iva Senegović , students at this convention played the roles of visitors and observers of the accelerator program competition, whose fund amounted to 30,000 euros.

This is an event that always gives students additional motivation for entrepreneurial activity because it shows them in a very graphic way how to become an entrepreneur, how to develop successful projects, and that business success requires a lot of consistency, work, and discipline.

"Interestingly, there was a lot to learn, and we also had an example of a startup from 2018 that is very successful today. It's instructive to see all the ideas people have and how they present them, and it's good that we can see where they go wrong and learn from their mistakes."

" Zagreb Conect is a super positive event that focuses on connecting and networking business people, experts and entrepreneurs. It is a great opportunity to gain new knowledge, inspiration and opportunities for business growth."

"It's full of inspiring young people who prove how interesting, but also demanding, starting your own business can be. In any case, it's nice to see young people trying to help themselves and push themselves through business startups."

"This type of event is particularly interesting to me because we can see entrepreneurship firsthand, as well as entrepreneurial beginnings that are not always the easiest. Very motivating."
