Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basic concepts of probability and statistics. The acquired knowledge will enable students to master the basic concepts of discrete probability theory and to become familiar with the principles of building simple stochastic models. Also, the acquired knowledge should enable students to use computers in statistical data processing, and facilitate the critical interpretation of the obtained statistical values.
