Within the framework of the conference, two panel discussions and presentations of scientific and professional papers were held.

Design management is playing an increasingly important role in the period of green transition that many economic and social systems are currently going through, and in order to encourage sustainability, consumers are paying more and more attention to usable design.
Changes in consumer behavior are even more visible in one of the most propulsive creative industries, namely the gaming industry, which is increasingly becoming a significant generator of new jobs.
These are highlights from the panel discussions held at VERN' University, as part of the international scientific conference "Creative Future Insights 2021", which was held on September 13th and 14th.
The panel entitled "Love Story of Design and Business: Design Management" was attended by Assoc. Izvorka Jurić (Design Bureau Izvorka Jurić), Marko Pavlović (OBLO) and Nikola Radeljković (NUMEN), who concluded that design management has an increasing role in the economy and society and represents one of the most dynamic and prosperous sub-sectors of creative industries.
Due to its multidisciplinarity, because it connects design, innovation, technology, management and customers, it provides economies with a competitive advantage through a triple envelope: economic, socio-cultural and environmental with the aim of achieving synergy of "design" and "business".
The second panel, dedicated to the gaming industry, " Life is Short Game More - Business is Everywhere ", featured Lovro Nola (Machina), Zvonimir Mikšić (PISMO) and Martina Golčić from Mobile Game Entertainment, while the discussion was moderated by Aleksandar Gavrilović (Gamechuck), secretary of the Croatian Cluster of Computer Game Producers.
Representatives of one of the most dynamic sub-sectors of the Croatian creative industries pointed out that, according to recently published data, as many as 2.7 billion people play video games, which represents a market of one third of all humanity. The potential of the gaming industry is further confirmed by the fact that the computer games industry in the EU and the world is recording an annual growth of around 10 percent, and in Croatia this growth is as much as 50 percent. The panelists paid special attention to the latest trends in the development and marketing of computer games, as well as the challenges in educating new personnel for the needs of the gaming industry.
Since the goal of the international scientific conference "Creative Future Insights 2021" was to raise awareness of the importance of creative industries and to provide an academic contribution to the development of this sector in Croatia, experts from the academic and business community presented their scientific professional papers from a wide range of creative industries, from culture, media and politics, to the economy and technology sector.
The papers were presented, among others, by our students and alumni Iva Horvat Radman , Marta Jerković and Velebit Mirić, as well as professors and colleagues: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikolina Borčić ; M.Sc. Gordana Ćorić ; Assoc. Prof. Martina Granić ; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mirela Holy ; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maja Kolega ; Professor Martina Majić ; Assoc.
