Teachers at VERN' University used September to prepare various innovative forms of teaching, and within the framework of the VERN' Academy, a group of teachers participated in a workshop entitled " Design thinking in teaching creation" , prepared and led by Gordana Ćorić, M.Sc.
The purpose of the workshop was to apply the tools - brainwriting , ladder of ideas and six hats - in solving a specific problem task, to compare the spontaneous process of generating ideas with the process guided by creative techniques, to demonstrate teamwork in the process of developing and upgrading ideas, and to evaluate one's own creative process and determine the possibilities of integrating learned methods into teaching.
"I am proud that design thinking methods have been part of the teaching curriculum at VERN for 13 years. Since our goal is to continuously innovate teaching processes and focus on students' creative thinking, I am not surprised that teachers from diverse fields such as mathematics, public relations, foreign languages, journalism, computer science and tourism have decided to learn more about design thinking tools and their application in teaching," emphasized Gordana Ćorić , lecturer of the course Design Thinking for Croatian students and Design Thinking for Business Innovation for foreign Erasmus students.

Teachers and external collaborators within the VERN' Academy are provided with support and assistance in their professional development and the development of modern teaching methods. VERN' Academy continuously organizes didactic-methodological workshops, workshops on evaluation, creation of written exams, on distribution of ECTS points and writing of learning outcomes of workshops for implementing measures against academic dishonesty, for creating case studies and many others.
The focus of the following activities of the VERN' Academy is Infoscience, in the field of scientific research and new workshops on the application and impact of artificial intelligence in the education sector.
