Representatives of the Student Council of Polytechnics and Colleges of the Republic of Croatia discussed numerous student topics with the Minister of Science and Education, Prof. Dr. Sc. Blaženko Divjak.

Representatives of the Council of Students of Polytechnics and Colleges of the Republic of Croatia – VERN' members Karlo Kolesar (President of the Council) and Dino Juratovac (Head of the Public Relations Office) and Deputy President of the Council Dora Miketek – met on August 28 with the Minister of Science and Education, Prof. Dr. Sc. Blaženka Divjak , with whom they discussed future student activities.
The meeting at the Ministry of Science and Education was also attended by State Secretary Branka Ramljak and Advisor to the Minister for Public Relations Maro Alavanja , a VERN alumni and former head of the Public Relations Office in this representative student body.
The students presented the work and future activities of the Council to the minister, and they also discussed the Student Representation Act, the Student Work Act, the Croatian Qualifications Framework Act, and the national project of connecting the labor market with higher education through internship programs.
"The meeting was extremely constructive and concrete steps were agreed regarding the start of certain projects. We expressed our desire for additional inclusion of students and pupils in all working bodies and groups that participate in the creation of educational policies, and Minister Divjak supported the work of the Student Council and confirmed that the ministry will continue quality communication with the student population," Karlo commented to us.
