Mobile device management and online portal projects in focus for IT management students

Students of VERN's graduate program in IT management presented solutions for two "mentored projects" in June.

In June, students of VERN's graduate study in IT management presented solutions for two "mentored projects", which they developed based on the business cases of Combis and Croatian Telecom (HT).

The students developed the aforementioned projects within the framework of VERN's "company-partner" concept, which implements business cases from the economy into a business process. In this way, students are integrated into a real business environment, through work on real business cases, while at the same time making contacts with potential future employers, successful companies in Croatia.

Thus, the students developed business solutions for the Combis company for the task "Analysis of the possibility of introducing Mobile Device Management solutions in the financial sector" , and presented them in front of an expert jury, which consisted of business mentor Igor Dužević from Combis and academic mentor Kristijan Saletović , a lecturer in the Security of Business Information Systems course.

For Hrvatski Telekom , students developed solutions for the business case "Online portal in the role of creating a positive user experience" , and presented their final projects before an expert jury - Tomislav Kosanović from Hrvatski Telekom and business mentor, and Alen Šimec , lecturer in the Internet Platforms course and academic mentor.

As a reminder, VERN's company-partner concept consists of three segments through which students are introduced to the task and develop projects: theoretical classes, introduction to the project task and work on the project, and a presentation before an expert jury consisting of a business mentor (company representative) and an academic mentor (course lecturer).
