CRANE and VERN'a agreement, a platform for student startups

This model of cooperation between the economy and education is among the first such examples in the region, and is based on the many years of experience of these institutions in developing entrepreneurial culture in Croatia, with the aim of further encouraging students to launch entrepreneurial projects and become self-employed.

"Collaboration with the economy is essential for successful study programs, both through curriculum adaptation and simulating the real business environment and gaining the necessary experience for students to successfully enter the labor market. With the platforms we have developed so far, we estimate that cooperation with CRANE will enable students to acquire important entrepreneurial knowledge and present their ideas directly to investors," said the dean of VERN , Prof. Dr. Sc. Vlatko Cvrtila .

In addition to investing in companies and startups in the early stages of development, CRANE's role also includes mentoring and advising entrepreneurs, so that they can best utilize the funds raised and market opportunities. With the aim of encouraging entrepreneurship in Croatia, among other things, CRANE turns to students as a group in which it recognizes significant potential.

CRANE points out that connecting with educational institutions like VERN' will allow them to gain better insight into the student startup scene, and provide young entrepreneurs with valuable mentoring support from their members who have extensive experience. Their goal is to spread a healthy entrepreneurial climate and promote an entrepreneurial mindset among the younger generations.

As part of the collaboration, CRANE and VERN' will organize a startup event called "Startup Wednesday" , the first of which will take place on Wednesday, June 17, at VERN' Polytechnic .
