More than 30 scholars and authors from 13 countries have created 140 key points that serve as a tool for scholars and media experts to understand and analyze communication.

The international scientific glossary " OPINION Glossary: Integrating theory and methods for automatically analyzing opinionated communication" has been published, on which more than 30 scientists from 13 countries worked for several months.
The editorial team that worked on the glossary consists of experts Gabriella Szabó from the Hungarian HUN REN Centre for Social Sciences, Carlos Cunha from the Portuguese University Institute of Lisbon, Jūratė Ruzaitė from the Lithuanian Vytautas Magnus University, and our assistant professor, Dr. sc. Tamara Kunić , head of VERN's undergraduate study program in Cyber Communications and graduate study program in Business Communications Management .
This valuable publication was created as part of the COST Action project OPINION, an international project aimed at shaping conceptual and theoretical frameworks in public communication research. It provides more than 140 entries that define key concepts related to the study of opinions and their discursive expression, offering scholars and media professionals a unique interdisciplinary tool for understanding and analyzing communication.
In addition, it will serve as a starting point for the development of a joint manifesto on the criteria and dimensions of textually expressed opinions and a further research agenda within the COST Action project. Its publication represents an important contribution to connecting linguistics, communication studies and social sciences at an international level.

OPINION is an international network of researchers working together to develop and integrate conceptual foundations, computational measurement strategies, and research agendas for the study of textual expressions of evaluative opinions.
