Students gained valuable knowledge about the most modern procedures and technologies used in the restoration and reconstruction of film tapes.

2nd year students of VERN's undergraduate study program Film, Television and Multimedia Design visited the Hungarian Film Laboratory in Budapest in early December, as part of fieldwork in the course Protection, Archiving and Restoration of AV Materials.
Along with the course leader , Prof. Carmen Lhotka , the students were joined by the head of the study , Dr. sc. Ozana Ramljak . After the introductory lectures, the students learned all the information about the significance of this laboratory for Hungarian and European cinematography, and the host, Gabor Pinter , took them through the numerous rooms of the laboratory, which provides a complete film post-production service.
During this field trip to the longest-running film laboratory in Hungary, students gained valuable knowledge about the most modern procedures and technologies used in the restoration and reconstruction of film tapes of various formats.
