The students toured the Radio Sljeme editorial office, the "deaf room" and the room for recording radio dramas, the archive, the wardrobe, the TV editorial office and numerous other departments.

Second-year students of VERN's undergraduate Public Relations program recently visited Croatian Radio and Television.
As part of the fieldwork in the course Media Relations and Public Relations Techniques , accompanied by assistant lecturer Mislav Petošić , our students were hosted by Nada Chedid , a long-time employee of the HRT Marketing and Communications Working Unit.

The tour began with a short lecture about this public radio and television institution and an introduction to its rich history. The students then had the opportunity to tour the Radio Sljeme editorial office, the “deaf room” and the room for recording radio dramas, the archive, the wardrobe, the TV editorial office and numerous other departments. They were particularly pleased during the tour of several TV studios, where they were most impressed by the fully digital studio and the studio for broadcasting the Dnevnik.

This direct insight into the dynamic world and work of a media company allows students to connect the theoretical knowledge acquired in lectures with the processes and challenges of the industry in real time. Through conversations with Ms. Chedid and other employees, they had the opportunity to learn firsthand how an informative and entertaining program is created, how television and radio production works, and the financial aspect of all the aforementioned processes, as well as what goes on behind the scenes of everyday broadcasting.

This fieldwork aimed to encourage students to actively engage in professional guidance and networking with fellow journalists while still in their studies.
