Public relations is the third most sought-after profession in the fields of creative and media activities, and the increased demand for public relations specialists is a trend expected in the near future.
Public relations carries the responsibility of conveying important information between organizations and the public. Never before has the flow of information been faster, nor has the business environment been more dynamic than today. That is why employers give preference to candidates with a completed professional degree.

What knowledge will you gain during your studies?
PR, media and business (57%)
Public relations
How to communicate with the public in writing and orally? What rules should be followed in internal business communication, and which ones in the event of crisis communication? What does the job of a PR agency look like and why is it so different from the job of a spokesperson in a corporation? During your studies, you will learn the answers to all these and many other questions.
Digital and traditional media You will learn how traditional media such as TV, radio, newspapers or portals work, but also how to adapt campaigns for digital media. For example, when to use influencers, and when to use pay per click tools or native articles and thereby make the campaign more successful.
Business knowledge
A prerequisite for understanding business communication is an understanding of business as such. Therefore, during your studies, you will acquire a wide range of business knowledge, from marketing and management, to human resources management and finance.
Basic knowledge (14%)
Every good PR professional must first learn how to write and express themselves properly. In addition, you will learn techniques such as public opinion research, spin doctoring or manipulative communication methods, and how to make business socially responsible.
Soft skills (17%)
With the development of technology, the world as we know it is also changing. New media and communication channels require public relations professionals to constantly adapt. This is why we learn skills and knowledge such as conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, assertiveness, crowd psychology, attitudes, values and prejudices at this course.
Elective courses (11%)
Elective courses are here to further enhance your knowledge and turn it into practical skills. Learn to manage your career, create an image in public communication, and learn about public relations practices in culture, tourism, and sports. These are just some of the options offered to you.
Learning outcomes
After completing the studies, students will be able to:
- Analyze contemporary social trends and structures of society as a framework for the possible application of public relations communication models
- Explain the psychological effect of the group on the individual and intragroup and intergroup psychological relationships and processes
- Apply the principles and techniques of contemporary public relations practice in various business situations. Choose an appropriate public relations strategy considering the specific needs of different organizations and individuals.
- Choose valid public relations tools and techniques for successful communication with the media
- Design and write various forms of written communication in public relations
- Apply public relations techniques and tools necessary for working in a public relations agency
- Independently design and conduct a simple public opinion survey Evaluate the success of a public relations campaign
- Apply content management techniques on social networks
- Use basic marketing tools in simpler business cases
- Determine marketing communication goals and create a simple advertising plan
- Start your own small entrepreneurial ventures in the field of public relations and public communication
- Describe the key contents (nature, purpose and process) of the basic functions of management
- Apply ethical principles in the field of social responsibility of public communication in practice
- Apply legal rules and human rights concepts (national and international legal frameworks) that regulate the profession of public relations and public communication in general Apply the rules of successful public speaking in practice

Classes are held over 2 semesters of 15 weeks. Daily commitment is 4 to 6 teaching hours.
Part-time study
Classes take place over 15 weeks per semester starting at 5pm (on average 12 school hours per week, or 3 days per week).

- During your studies, you will gain valuable practical experience and learn how to communicate on digital media and social networks . You will also learn how to give public speeches , how to resolve a crisis situation and manage a brand , and how to manage corporate communications , prepare a communication strategy or build a relationship with the media.

Details about the admission process
Tuition includes
- Administering enrollment and studying at VERN
- Teaching according to the curriculum
- Group and/or individual mentoring
- Two exams for each course
- Administration and support during the organization and execution of professional practice
- Use of teaching and presentation equipment – computers, videos, projectors, etc.
- Use of the library and the faculty multi-media center for study purposes
- Using the VERN'a information system for study purposes
- Teaching materials produced by VERN: written summaries and notes from lectures and workshops, scripts, etc.
- Organized use of certain sports facilities in rented times, visits to theater performances and concerts according to the CARPE DIEM program
- Defense of the Final/Diploma Thesis
- Graduation ceremony – making the diploma, using it, commemorative caps, etc.
