Course objectives
To introduce students to the basics of modern English in the field of public relations and media culture and the basic differences in relation to standard language. To introduce students to the basics of all forms of written and spoken media language according to the topics represented in the relevant areas of public relations and the media. To enable students to use specific vocabulary and linguistic and grammatical structures of the English language. To instruct students in recognizing the differences between standard, colloquial and media language and its application. To introduce students to the basics of the use of written and spoken English and to consolidate the recognition of elements of public relations language and media language within different thematic areas. To develop in students the habit of following the press and other media in English. To develop in students the use of language skills (understanding the text, listening, writing and speaking) and fluency and accuracy at the B2 level of language knowledge.
