The educational program Managing the Development of a Tourism Product in a Destination enables participants to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for effective management of the development of tourism products and services, with an emphasis on improving the quality of destinations.
Participants will analyze the market to understand consumer needs and desires, and then identify trends in tourism. This analysis will allow them to understand the creative process, including brainstorming techniques and the innovation required to design products. Participants will also learn about product design, key elements that make tourism products and services attractive, and criteria for evaluating quality. Furthermore, participants will explore the importance of integrating various sectors, including tourism, hospitality, transport and culture, in order to develop sustainable and innovative tourism products. This segment covers stakeholder collaboration, which is essential for success in the tourism sector, and good practice examples that illustrate the successful application of a multi-sectoral approach. The second part of the program focuses on destination marketing and promotion management, where participants will learn how to monitor the visibility of products and services through multi-channel sales. This includes the analysis of different sales channels, online and offline strategies, and marketing communication techniques. Participants will also work on creating a dialogue with customers and evaluating the effectiveness of these channels.
Competencies (what you will learn)
- Analyze the tourist resources of destinations
- Determine the strengths and weaknesses of the tourist destination in order to develop the tourist product, independently or in a team
- Collect information on announced professional competitions and funds for the purpose of timely preparation and registration of a new tourism product
- To organize tourist actions in order to preserve the tourist area, improve the tourist environment and protect the environment
- Create a new tourism product
- Compile offers for individual activities in a tourist destination, independently or in a team
- Create a promotion for a new tourism product, either independently or in a team
- Promote the tourist destination
- Collect daily, weekly and monthly reports to process data on tourist traffic in the area of tourist destinations
- Process the collected data to monitor the implementation of set goals and tasks
- Evaluate the achievements of the work program and financial plan of the tourist destination
- Monitor the quality of services provided in a tourist destination

What is an education voucher?
The Education Voucher is a financial support from the Croatian Employment Service, which, in cooperation with educational institutions, allocates public funds for adult education. Each voucher user is enabled to independently choose an educational program, as well as an education provider, among which VERN' University proudly takes its place.
Who can use the voucher?
Vouchers can be used by all unemployed and employed persons over the age of 15, who are guaranteed the acquisition of the necessary skills for career development, employment or job retention.
The right to use vouchers is not exercised by persons in the regular education system (pupils), persons in the higher education and science system (students), and pension beneficiaries.
Using the program is simple and easily accessible:
- The first step is to request the offer you need below on the selected program in order to submit a request to the CES. The offer is not binding and serves only to register for the use of the voucher on the CES website.

Programs covered by the education voucher system are held on the premises of VERN' University (VERN' Cube, Palmotićeva 82/1, Zagreb), and are available to participants from all over Croatia through online classes.
