The "Točno tako" platform will collect analyses from 21 independent fact-checking projects from various fields.
Organized by the Agency for Electronic Media (AEM), the online platform www.tocnotako.hr was presented to the public in mid-October, which will serve as a central place for checking the accuracy of information from various areas - from politics and economics, through climate change and medicine, to society, science and nutrition.
The public presentation of the platform was also attended by Nina Obuljen Koržinek , Minister of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, Krisztina Stump , Head of the Department for Media Convergence and Social Media at the European Commission, and Paolo Cesarini , Director of the European Digital Media Observatory, a center for combating disinformation.
The platform was presented by Robert Tomljenović , Deputy Director of the Agency for Electronic Media and project manager, who stated that the launch of this platform is a significant step forward in the fight against disinformation because it will collect content and analysis from as many as 21 independent fact-checking projects specializing in various thematic areas, including VERN's fact-checking service TurFacto .
The "Exactly" platform was developed within the project "Establishment of a system for verifying the accuracy of information", financed under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) from the EU Recovery and Resilience Mechanism. The information that will be published and archived on the platform is checked exclusively by independent fact-checkers. A total of 21 projects for independent fact-checking, led by scientific and educational institutions and civil society associations, were selected and launched on the basis of public calls for grants to finance their work. The project "Establishment of a system for verifying the accuracy of information" is led by the Ministry of Culture and Media and the Agency for Electronic Media.
