Course objectives
Innovation and technological progress are closely related to entrepreneurship, and their application contributes to the creation of a company's competitive advantage. For years, the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor has pointed out the problem that the products of Croatian entrepreneurs are "nothing new to anyone". Therefore, starting from individual innovations, innovative ventures and projects, students will become familiar with understanding the importance of developing innovation systems and capacities, a culture of innovation in companies, and an enabling environment (ecosystem) for the emergence and continuous development of innovations and innovative solutions. Furthermore, in order to realize the strategic goals and vision of the company, and starting from the strategy of creating conditions for the development of innovative solutions, and gaining competitive advantages through innovations and appropriate technology, students will become familiar with the need to understand the risks involved in innovation processes, but also with the importance of learning from their own and others' mistakes.
By attending this interactive course, students will acquire new knowledge and skills, and connect them with the experience gained in other courses, adopt the principles of creating conditions for continuous innovative action and managing innovations and technological changes. The course will be useful for those who want to be exposed to innovative action and reflections on adding new value, systematic innovation and mastering techniques for encouraging the creation of innovative products and services, as a response to the need to change the perception of Croatian entrepreneurs as creators of already seen products and services.
