About the studio

Companies, as well as their employees, are adapting to dynamic changes in the market, and due to business and technological trends, they must be prepared for continuous education and adaptation to the business environment.

Upon completion of this study, students acquire the necessary competencies needed to work in human resources departments and coordinate and supervise human resources management activities in the segment of future personnel selection, employment, education, and professional and personal development of employees.

Within the framework of human resources management competencies, students also acquire specific knowledge in the following segments:

  • job creation,
  • retention,
  • successions,
  • separations,
  • rationalization and retirement of employees,
  • marketing,
  • mentoring work,
  • statistics,
  • prevention of negative effects of work stress and burnout, etc.

  • direct and contribute to initiatives and processes within the organization,
  • understand and apply information useful for the organization's strategic plans,
  • manage interpersonal relationships in order to improve services and improve business,
  • critically interpret data that is important for making business decisions and recommendations,
  • advocate and support organizational values, mitigating and reducing potential risks,
  • apply the principles and practices of human resources management to business success.

Admission procedure based on undergraduate grades

Start of registration:

Za početak upisa potrebno je popuniti neobvezujuću elektronsku prijavu za studij(e) te odabrati željeni početak nastave (ožujak ili listopad).

Requirements for enrollment in studies:

  • completed undergraduate studies of a minimum duration of 3 years or acquired 180 ECTS credits with a minimum grade point average of 3.0
  • Candidates with a grade point average of less than 3.0 must submit two recommendations from their professors or employers upon admission.
Register your interest

In order to collect all necessary information for the enrollment process and further correspondence, interested candidates are required to register their interest via the VERN'a IT system.

Candidates will receive a username and password to access their EduNeta student portal during the non-binding application.

Registration method

1. Enrollment method (based on undergraduate grades)

For candidates of graduate studies: IT Management, Sustainable Tourism Development Management, Entrepreneurial Management, Accounting and Finance, Human Resources Management and Business Communications Management:

  • Candidates who have completed their undergraduate studies at VERN' will be informed of the tuition fees for the graduate study based on the evaluation of their undergraduate grades.
  • Candidates who have completed undergraduate studies at other higher education institutions must send a transcript of grades (original or certified copy) or a supplementary study document (diploma supplement) indicating the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of study to the email address upisi@vern.hr for the calculation of the proposed tuition fee.

2. Evaluation of undergraduate grades

For graduate studies in IT Management, Sustainable Tourism Development Management, Entrepreneurship Management, Accounting and Finance, Human Resources Management and Business Communications Management, only the average grade from the undergraduate level of studies is evaluated according to the following model:

Results

Based on the success achieved in the evaluation of grades, the candidate will be determined the amount of tuition fees for the graduate study for the academic year 2024/2025. You can find more detailed information about tuition fee models and grades at the following link

Completion of the enrollment process

The completion of the enrollment process takes place in the following steps:

  • Payment of enrollment installment in the amount of EUR 350.00 - non-refundable installment, part of the tuition fee. The payment slip form is visible on the candidate's student portal under "Forms - Example of a completed payment slip".
  • Submission of enrollment documents to the Student Office:
  • Study contract printed from your student portal Studomatic .
  • diploma or graduation certificate
  • list of passed exams, grades and grade point average from undergraduate studies

NOTE: VERN's students are not required to bring documentation under points b) and c) because it already exists in the VERN's archives.

The amount of one-year tuition fees depends on

  • Achievements and average grades from undergraduate studies
  • Choosing a tuition model (one-time, semester and monthly)

Tuition includes

  • Administering enrollment and studying at VERN
  • Teaching according to the curriculum
  • Field training – transportation costs
  • Group or individual mentoring and consultations
  • Two exams for each course
  • Use of the library and multi-media center
  • Use of the Institution's information system "EduNet"
  • Teaching materials produced by VERN: written summaries and notes from lectures and workshops, scripts, etc.
  • CARPE DIEM Program – use of sports facilities during the periods rented by the Institution, visits to theater performances, concerts, etc.
  • Defense of the Graduation Thesis if the student approaches the defense of the Graduation Thesis within two years of the end of the last semester

To receive the discount from the table above, it is mandatory to submit all enrollment documentation (including a certificate of completion of undergraduate studies).

Outcomes

After completing the studies, students will be able to:

  • Assess the importance of the human factor and evaluate the distinctive features of human resources management in the organizational environment.
  • Formulate different methods of attracting and acquiring employees.
  • Organize selection procedures in the acquisition of employees and critically judge the selection results.
  • Propose criteria when creating new jobs, developing job descriptions, and organizational design at the operational and strategic levels.
  • Plan the effective use of communication tools and techniques in various business circumstances.
  • Harmonize indicators of financial analysis and budgeting procedures in human resources management.
  • Argument for legal regulations in the area of ​​exercising individual and collective rights and obligations arising from employment relationships.
  • Plan research in the field of human resources management using empirical methods.
  • Assess the impact of macroeconomic and global changes on human resources management.
  • Organize a system for measuring work performance and employee career development in accordance with business goals.
  • Formulate budgetary control techniques when calculating and interpreting financial performance and human resource productivity indicators.
  • Organize internal and external forms of training, employee development and talent development.
  • Create and correct employee compensation and benefit systems.
  • Rank computer software solutions and ICT tools in human resources management activities.
  • Distinguish between the psychological determinants of work and employment relationships.
  • Evaluate the role of psychological determinants of work and labor relations in an organizational context.
  • Examine activities of mediation, negotiation and resolution of individual and collective conflicts.
  • Develop measures to improve interpersonal relationships and a system of integral care for employees.
  • Evaluate different approaches in managing business teams and projects, introducing changes and making decisions.
  • Create business strategies and proposals for strategic business decisions.

LIFE ON VERN'

Studying at VERN' University is much more than just dry learning of theory. Students further develop theoretical knowledge from lectures through project assignments in collaboration with successful companies, thus developing skills for the business world and building relationships. In addition, they have the opportunity to engage in a variety of extracurricular activities - from playing sports through the VERN' Sport program and absorbing cultural content through the VERN' Culture program, to getting involved in student initiatives, organizing various events, attending seminars and workshops, and visiting the most important conferences and business-educational events.
