Course objectives
Students will become familiar with labor law as a separate branch of law and will be able to understand the legal concepts and norms necessary for interpreting rights and obligations arising from employment relationships, with an insight into the specifics of labor rights protection. In addition to the economic, social and political aspects of labor law, they will gain insight into the role of human resources managers in these processes. They will be introduced to international and European (primary and secondary) sources of labor law, with specific examples from practice regarding the exercise of rights and obligations arising from employment relationships. Through case studies, they will master the methodology and research in the field of labor law and a specific part of the acquis communautaire so that they can apply them in their work tasks.
