Course objectives
Through the course Management for Start-up Companies II, students will be introduced to the possibilities of growth and development, and to the methods of managing start-up companies. By gaining knowledge about the different goals and conditions for the growth of start-up companies, they will be able to make better management decisions. Furthermore, students will be introduced to the role of innovation in creating a competitive advantage and achieving the strategic goals of start-up companies. Since innovative companies are largely neglected as systems, the aim of the course is to point out the importance of developing an innovation system and capacity as a necessary platform for producing innovations, realizing a vision, the ability to recognize and create trends, and using incentive techniques for further development. To create an innovative company and realize quality entrepreneurial ideas, it is necessary to constantly discover one's own creative potential and use modern tools and processes (such as the customer benefit matrix, design thinking, etc.). The purpose of the course is to gain insight into the issues of creating a sustainable innovative start-up company, adding new value, systematic innovation and continuous addition of innovation components, and mastering techniques for stimulating creativity and design thinking, as a requirement of modern entrepreneurship.
