Course objectives
The aim of this course is to acquire basic knowledge about types of building structures. Students connect knowledge from mechanics and technical materials through the basics of structural calculations. During exercises, they choose the optimal variant of the structure for a specific object. Students harmonize individual elements of the structure with legal regulations. Students prescribe protection measures for individual types of structures for their longevity. Students analyze the negative impact of individual structures on the environment as well as the adaptation of the type of structure to the environment while respecting traditional construction.
