Course objectives
The aim of this course is to acquire basic knowledge about facility management and maintenance throughout the entire life cycle of a property. The course enables students to understand the importance of facility management and maintenance from various aspects. Students are introduced to the legal foundations, concepts related to co-tenancy, and obligations related to reserves (Law on Ownership and Other Real Rights). Students will be introduced to the maintenance (Facility Management) of facilities for various business purposes (shopping malls, office spaces, retail) as well as methods of maintaining residential properties. They will be able to recognize maintenance priorities, create a budget and costs, and select a contractor. They will also gain a high-quality insight into the structure of facility management costs, create calculations, and use the tools that Facility Managers use in their work.
