Course objectives
The aim of this course is to acquire basic knowledge about organizational systems and their ways of functioning in the modern economy. Students fully distinguish the role, significance and influence of organizational structure on business results as well as the techniques of organizational management of business or production functions. The course enables students to understand the functioning of individual production processes as parts of a system. Through the preparation of their own seminar paper, the student creates an organizational chart of a selected company, which introduces them to its organizational structure with regard to the influential variables and factors that have been covered in lectures, and identifies the effectiveness of the existing organizational structure and suggests possible improvements.
