Course objectives
The aim of this course is to acquire basic knowledge about materials used in the field of construction and mechanical engineering. Students are introduced to the properties of individual materials, and knowing them, determine their practical application. When choosing materials, students will take into account the requirements of the designer as well as the economic conditions defined by the investor. Students will monitor the development of new technologies in the production of engineering materials with special attention to environmental protection, both in obtaining materials and in their application.
