About the studio
Create scripts for movies, series and video games
The Transmedia Dramaturgy study program is designed as an interdisciplinary educational program that brings together various types of dramaturgical practices and professional knowledge necessary for the design of narrative media content and their (trans)media positioning within the entertainment and creative industries. The study program combines diverse dramaturgical and screenwriting knowledge and skills with specific media and cultural content, as well as organizational skills and economic and legal knowledge (marketing, financing and intellectual property), which provide study participants with a more comprehensive understanding of the professional, social and economic context of the entertainment industry and integrally understood creative industries.
The practice of transmedia storytelling is focused on creating complex narrative "worlds" with a multitude of elaborate characters, parallel and side stories, which, due to their complexity, detailed situational elaboration and contextual comprehensiveness, meet the criteria of complementary storytelling, but also business exploitation, on various communication platforms. Through transmedia storytelling, integral elements of a certain narrative "world" are dispersed across various communication channels (films, TV series, video games, comics, literary and theatrical texts, podcasts, advertisements, web series, fan fiction sites, etc.) in order to create a unique and coordinated user experience.
Such entertainment industry practices open up space for profiling a new type of creative playwright with a set of competencies that combine a wide range of classical and transmedia dramaturgical skills with a high level of media literacy and strategic awareness, as well as marketing and media production knowledge.
