Course objectives
Introducing the characteristics of media language style and typical structures, for example the linguistic characteristics of screenwriting, dramaturgy and internet texts. Enabling students to read and comment with understanding on various texts related to media culture, the entertainment industry, narratology, dramaturgy, screenwriting, film, video games, etc. in English. Consolidating relevant language skills adapted to needs. Introducing students to oral and written business communication skills. Improving English language skills and raising awareness of the specificities of media styles. Developing the use of language skills (understanding text, listening, writing and speaking) and fluency and accuracy at the B2 level of language knowledge.
