Course objectives
- Take the students through the history of the documentary form, its development and significance for the societies they thematize.
- Get to know the current trends and circumstances that make up Croatian and world documentary.
- Introduce them to the basic terms of interactive multimedia documentary and the history of its emergence, and its growing social influence.
- Warn them about the differences between the narrative structures of linear and non-linear documentaries.
- Instruct them on the advantages and consequences of liberalizing the creation of documentaries with the advent of multimedia platforms, from creative creation, production, to the reach of the audience and its interactive direct influence on the content of documentaries.
- To introduce students to all possible platforms, but also to the new technical means of creating an interactive documentary film, as well as the meaning of the difference in the platforms on which they are placed and the means by which they are created.
- Enable and train the student to independently create an interactive documentary film work, in all its project phases.
- Give the student the necessary basic knowledge of interactive documentary distribution, adapted to individual platforms on which it is placed.
