Course objectives
To acquaint students with different forms of screenwriting (cartoon screenplay, "Marvel method", complete screenplay). Students will then apply this knowledge to writing scripts for comic strips of varying lengths – a one-page comic strip, various forms of short comic strips, a longer comic strip. Students will develop the ability to observe screenwriting procedures and recognize dramaturgical patterns when working on comics, as well as the difference between writing comics and writing related visual media.
