The aim of the course is to explore the relationship between literature and film by focusing on film adaptations of various literary genres such as the novel, short story and drama. It is particularly important to familiarize students with contemporary theories of film adaptation and to develop the skills necessary to recognize potential film elements in literary, dramatic and non-fiction works, as well as to adapt and expand the selected narrative material to the requirements of another medium, and to enable students to independently adapt literary models.
