Course objectives
To point out the basic elements of social influence on tourism and the influence of tourism on individual social elements and society as a whole. To introduce students to the basic social assumptions of the historical development of tourism and the differences in tourism systems that develop on the basis of different ruling political ideologies. To enable students to apply basic sociological approaches and their specificities in explaining the phenomenon of tourism and to critically assess the impact of public policies on the tourism system
