Course objectives
The Introduction to Data Science course provides a broad overview of key challenges and methodologies in working with large amounts of data and discovering useful information from that data. The goals of the course are to train students to independently use tools for collecting, cleaning, researching, analyzing and visualizing data, making decisions based on the analysis and communicating the results effectively. Students will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of data science by working on real data sets, from different domains, using the Python programming language and the Jupyter Notebook tool.
