Course objectives
To learn the importance of international business and to become familiar with the challenges of internationalization of business and management in a multicultural environment. To understand the context, dimensions of the international environment in which modern international business management takes place. To broaden and deepen the understanding of management tools and styles in a multicultural environment. To develop conceptual and analytical skills necessary for developing plans and implementing effective management in a globally competitive environment.
Specific objectives:
- To learn about the socio-economic, political, legal, technological and cultural dimensions that influence international business management.
- To understand the specifics of developing and implementing a strategy, managerial activities and organizational specificities in international business.
- To acquire the knowledge necessary to develop an analysis of the success of a particular business venture in an international environment, for existing companies or on the example of a hypothetical case.
- To acquire the skills to assess the importance and diversity of key management functions in international business, such as marketing and sales, human resources management, finance and controlling.
