Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basic guidelines related to the terms celebrity and fame, in accordance with the criteria according to which people are considered famous and famous in Croatia and abroad (actors, musicians, athletes, politicians, TV personalities, models, designers, artists, entrepreneurs). Accordingly, the aim is to teach students knowledge in the theory of public communication and image creation with an emphasis on the analysis of the application of the theory to selected examples and the analysis of the image of public figures from the fields of politics, business, and popular culture. The ways in which individuals create and present their roles in society, as well as the role of the media and the audience in the presentation, are examined and described. The aim is for students to recognize stereotypes in the communication of social roles, situations, and other components of image creation.
