Course objectives
The course should introduce students to the basics of television hosting; enable them to acquire skills and knowledge about how to communicate with the audience via the television screen, as well as convey the experience of television hosts, journalists, and media experts. Through interactive exercises, the goal is to teach students to use their voice, gestures, and facial expressions, and to speak fluently according to the rules set by this mass medium. The course introduces the basics of professional standards for television presenting and editing programs, and explains the tasks of a journalist-host on television. The lectures are modernly designed, multimedia, interactive, with many concrete examples, and students will gain practical knowledge about selected topics during the exercises and will learn about essential issues related to the medium of television in accordance with new technological possibilities.
