Course objectives
Continuation of the course Introduction to Online Journalism that students take in the first year of study. The aim of this course is to introduce students to the broad field of audio-visual culture and teach them to analyze and interpret audio and visual elements in different types of media, and it consists of lectures and exercises. The focus of the course is on the practical work of students and the creation of photographs, infographics and multimedia forms with an appropriate theoretical framework (semiotics). We will explore methods and approaches to new forms of narrative that go beyond text. In doing so, we will analyze and discuss the technological and material conditions of visualization and representation in its social, cultural and historical context.
